Volkswagen New Beetle (versi modern)

The Volkswagen New Beetle is a compact car introduced by Volkswagen in 1998, of course inspired from the original Beetle. The chassis used is the base of the VW Golf, and the main difference with the original Beetle, the reincarnation of this front-engine, and luggage in the back.

Concept 1In 1994 in the North American International Auto Show, Volkswagen said that J Mays has designed the Concept 1, a concept car with futuristic models, but still highlight the contours of the original Beetle round.
His reaction was amazing. Public force for this car to be produced. Then in 1998 Volkswagen New Beetle officially launched the J Mays on design and Freeman Thomas at the California Design Studio. Equations with his ancestors is just a name and a similar shape, and basically this is one hundred percent modern car. Even so, this car still brings design features related to the ancestors, separate wings, vestigial running boards, sloping headlamps, large round tail lights, and of course the curve of the roof is higher, allowing for tall drivers.
